Filmpost only accepts electronic submissions sent to filmpostberlin@gmail.com. In the subject line, please write “[Review / Essay] Submission.” Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Please submit writing in a Microsoft Word document.
We only accept reviews (<1.500 words) and essays (<4.000 words) written in English or German. Please refrain from sending us drafts or outlines. All reviews and essays are subject to editing by our Editorial Board, and we are happy to work with contributors throughout the process.
We accept or reject almost all pieces within two weeks of receiving them. If you have not heard back from us within this timeframe, we encourage you to explore other publication options for your piece, but also feel free to query us about your status.
Although we would love to compensate contributors for their work, we are not a paying market, and our staff is made entirely of volunteers. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email us at the address above. We look forward to reading your submissions.
